Did you know you can improve your athletic performance by increasing the amount of sleep you get each night by a moderate amount? A study done at University of California - San Francisco followed 17 MLB players for 5 nights. The players were told to get as much extra sleep as they could and record it. The mean extra hours of sleep reported was .6 hours, or about 35 minutes per night. The results showed that the players that got at least 30 minutes of extra sleep per night, saw a 13% increase in their reaction time, which in baseball can be all the extra time you need to hit a fastball. Try this out yourself! Try to get 30-60 minutes extra sleep a night for a week, and see if you feel extra energized at your Exuro sessions!

The 31st Annual Tram Road Challenge 2016 hosted by Klein Clark Sports was an amazing experience. Good vibes, good music, and people coming together to have a great time, get some exercise, and conquer a challenge. There were over 500 people who attended the challenge. We were so happy to see how people were so upbeat and ready to go, even though the hot weather made it more of a challenge.
The Exuro Fitness Booth was a huge hit, especially our squat challenge! The challenge consisted of 60 squats under a minute, and if completed, you won a free tank or hat. An Exuro Team Member described the challenge perfectly….”People were coming out of our booth leg-less. We will definitely be attending next year, and next year. Exuro not only will it be at the side lines, but will be with the people taking on that challenge!”

RESISTANCE TRAINING COMBINED WITH the RUNNING EFFECTS ON CARDIOVASCULAR
Journal of Sports Medicine Physical Fitness conducted a test in 2008 between a running group, circuit training group and combined(running in between circuit) training group that the combined training group showed significant improvements in both cardiovascular(VO2 max) output and strength levels. For those looking to improve cardiovascular and strength functions as well as break up the monotony of traditional cardio training, this was found to be the most effective and efficient protocols when accompanied by intelligent exercise selection and well designed intervals. Which is why the Tabata Study is of interest.
